About Paul Chialdikas and the MWRD
Vote Chialdikas, Support Change in the MWRD!
I am Paul Chialdikas and I am your candidate for Commissioner of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Great Chicago (MWRD). I am the only candidate on the November 2010 ballot who is endorsed by the Cook County Republican Party.
The MWRD treats wastewater for Cook County’s 5 million residents as well as businesses in the county. Its policies affect flooding, beaches, streams and rivers in the area. The MWRD plays an important role in the health of our large community.
The MWRD raises $1.5 billion annually from taxes paid by the residents and businesses of Cook County. It has been more than 30 years since diverse political parties have been elected to the board of MWRD. It is time for new voices to represent not only the taxpayers of the City of Chicago, but also the whole of Cook County. All the current MWRD board members live in Chicago, and as a resident of the south suburbs, I will ensure the needs of businesses and residents in the many towns outside the city are given equal consideration.
I am the candidate for your vote because I have the business knowledge and leadership skills that MWRD needs.
- I have 15 years of executive business experience working for multi-million dollar corporations in the private and public sector
- I am currently a small business owner in suburban Cook County
- I served five years as Commissioner of Zoning and Planning for the Village of Lemont
- I was elected Trustee of the Village of Lemont in 2009
What does this mean for Cook County tax-paying businesses and residents?
I developed more efficient business practices, reduced costs, and maximized benefits for both the consumer and the taxpayer; I created programs that helped businesses and tax bodies operate more efficiently; I believe in business and job creation, while protecting our natural resources.
Your endorsement of me, Paul Chialdikas, for Commissioner for MWRD is a vote for:
- Greater fiscal responsibility
- Protection of our natural environment in Chicago and its environs
- A strong voice for all the taxpayers in Cook County, both in Chicago and in its suburbs
- Job creation and business growth
- Integrity, honesty and accountability
